We are a boutique landscape design firm that has curated residential outdoor spaces since 1994. We work with discerning homeowners, architects, and custom builders to design and construct a rich diversity of projects from luxury private homes to country estates. We are small by choice, able to deliver personalized service from concept through finishes.

We believe in transitional design principles. These bring a tasteful, contemporary feel that is in harmony with architecture and the natural world. The results speak for themselves — beautiful homes that are framed through the landscapes upon which they sit.
We are dedicated to doing things right the first time. Our design-build process is thorough and focused on budgets established in partnership with you.
Designer Profile
Born and raised in Oakville, Ontario, Ian founded McClelland Landscape Design to combine his passions for design and nature, and to contribute to the thoughtful growth of the towns in which his clients reside. Ian is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Landscape Architecture program (DipLA) and a member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA).
Credentials aside, Ian has a professional understanding of design, and extensive knowledge of, and experience in, grading, drainage, construction, and horticulture. His designs are widely recognized for their dramatic style, engaging horticulture, and refined finishes.
